ÓPTICA

Gerardo Hermida, Cindy Weiss and Naoto Kobayashi

Based on the Theory of Light and the way it interacts with shadows, we want to create a tridimensional volume using bidimensional materials. Proyector Invisible wants to represent and create volumes with the aid of light alone.

The UV light goes through theparts of the slides that don’t have any ink and the shadows are projected into the photosensible paper. These shadows create the illusion of a tri-dimensionality when they are developed on water.

IN BETWEEN

Celia Tamayo, Alison Márquez, Montserrat Martínez and Paola Reyes

This project wants to provoke the same feelings that a person experiences when having SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), type of depression that occurs during particular seasons of the year, mostly winter; the intention is to experience this through the reflection of different tones and colors generated by the motion of light rotating around a dichroic paper in a semi-closed space.
