FAMILY OF LUMINAIRES

The purpose of this project was to create a lamp family, based on a narrative of emotions where the physical form serves as the expression without affecting its functionality.

The only conditions were to make it simple and bulky to facilitate its manufacture, with an aesthetic of elegant, sober, and simple colors.

VOID (FEAR)

Sofía Reyes, Ximena Vieyra and Nicolás Riaño

Void is a wall light inspired by the fear of the unknown.

The object seeks to arouse curiosity in the user and invite them to interact with it by exposing their hand to the void and turn the light on.

EFÍMERO (SADNESS)

Lourdes Aguilar, Monse Ceballos and Andrea Gutiérrez

Efímero is a table lamp inspired by the feeling of sadness.

Through its form, light and interaction it relates to loss. While both pieces are together they light up warm. But, as soon as they are pulled apart, the light turns cold; offering the possibility to take away a part of it.

CAOS

Isabel Lara, Regina Ochoa, Paola Espinosa and Fer Londoño

Chaos is a pendant lamp inspired by the emotion of fury and how human beings use it as a motor to resolve conflicts that arise. Through rotating rings and changing the color of the light, the lamp aims to materialize the feeling of anger, giving the user the possibility to create and resolve the conflict.
