DESIGN FOR WELL-BEING

Pleasurable moments provide us with experiences that not only bring enjoyment but also inspire and empower. By surrounding ourselves with these experiences, whether through spaces, objects, or interactions that allow us to enjoy everyday life, we are reminded that it is always possible to elevate the quality of our existence. In this room, academic projects are presented in which designers use well-being as a starting point, either as a design resource or as a vehicle for expression and questioning.

DESIGN FROM THE CRAFTS

Design in Mexico maintains a deep connection with the crafts. In a context of constant development, designers perpetually explore alternative paths in the face of nearly unattainable industrial production, aspiring to create products that imbue beauty into our surroundings. In this room, academic projects are showcased that engage in a dialogue with both artisanal and semi-industrial crafts, reinterpreting them and elevating the meticulous attention to detail that distinguishes manually manufactured goods.

EMOTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

In the Mexican landscape, where many perceive technology as a potential challenge to our values, traditions, and customs, designers view it as a vehicle to manifest our own humanity. In this room, projects are displayed that consider technology as a tool that not only adds functionality to everyday life but also expresses emotions, aids in creation, and serves as a reminder to always retain our human essence.

AWARD CEREMONY

After a process of observation, the jury, composed of designers from various areas of expertise, selects the best projects that meet a series of requirements such as impeccable finishes, a coherent concept, and added value.
